Artisan review 2026: what Ava the AI BDR does and what we could confirm about price
Written by Wanna AI. Checked on 17 Oct 2026, refreshed every 30 days. Wanna in this list is our product, so read its row with that in mind. Prices change, so open each link before you decide.
Short answer. Artisan sells Ava, an AI sales development rep that finds leads, writes outreach, handles replies and books meetings. It fits a team that wants outbound run for it and will review the output. We could not confirm a price on Artisan's own pages, and the outside reviews we read disagree with each other.
How we chose what to look at
- What Artisan says on its home page and its guide for AI tools, read on 17 Oct 2026. The pricing page linked from it showed no plan prices in what we read.
- One outside review, with its date: SalesRobot, dated 11 Sep 2026. SalesRobot sells a competing product, so it is not a neutral party. Its own text quotes two different monthly figures.
- We did not run Artisan ourselves. This is the biggest limit of this page.
What Artisan does
Artisan's home page headline reads "The AI BDR that runs in your stack, alongside your team," and its guide for AI tools calls Ava an autonomous AI BDR. It describes Ava running outbound end to end: finding and enriching B2B leads, writing personalized outreach, handling replies and booking meetings. Its guide for AI tools says Ava draws on a database of 250M+ verified contacts and sends from your own domains in your reps' names. SalesRobot's text says 300M+. We could not check either.
Artisan and Wanna side by side
| Product | What it does | Who it is for | Prices and limits, checked 17 Oct 2026 | Honest minuses |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Artisan | Finds and enriches leads, writes outreach, handles replies and books meetings with Ava | A sales team that wants outbound run for it | Not shown on the pricing page we read. Artisan says plans are scoped to lead volume, mailboxes and dialer seats. SalesRobot quotes $250/month (Intern) and $600/month (Employee) on annual billing, and $280/month monthly | Price not confirmed; reviewers describe email as robotic and report data and deliverability problems; sending costs are separate; we did not run it |
| Wanna | Reads your site, proposes the week's tasks, and drafts posts and applications that wait for your OK; letters go out only once you turn sending on | A B2B founder who does not know the next growth task | Free $0, 10 credits after onboarding. Starter $20 a month, 1 company, 200 credits (about 20 tasks). Growth $49, 5,000 credits. Scale $149, up to 5 companies. Read on our plans page today | Early product: the live page counted 3 companies of people, 19 tasks done in 7 days and 0 paying companies at 14:00 UTC on 17 Oct 2026. It has no dialer or contact database |
What we could and could not confirm about price
Artisan's pages link to "Pricing & plans" and "Request a demo," and what we read gave no prices. The guide says plans are scoped to lead volume, mailboxes and dialer seats, and that Enterprise offers custom volume. SalesRobot says Intern starts at $250/month and Employee at $600/month, both billed annually, and then lists $280/month billed monthly. It adds that sending infrastructure such as mailboxes and phone numbers is billed separately. Because the figures differ and none is on Artisan's page, ask for a written quote first.
What reviewers say goes wrong
SalesRobot says messages "can feel robotic in practice despite hyper-personalization claims" and that results of Artisan's personalization feature vary. It reports that users cite DNS errors, broken warm-up timers, UI glitches and delayed support, drawn from G2 reviews shown as screenshots. It also says there are few independent reviews or long-term case studies.
Where it fits a small team
Use Artisan when outbound is the job, you have a clear buyer profile and someone will read what Ava sends each week. Ask for a written price and the contract length before you sign.
If your problem is "what should my company do this week," that is the job Wanna is built for. See AI lead generation tools, AI cold email tools and our reviews of Clay and Sintra.
What Artisan does not replace
Artisan does not replace a person who sets the target buyer, the offer and the limits on what may be sent, or a salesperson who takes the call after a meeting is booked. Wanna does not replace those either, and it does not replace Artisan for running outbound.
FAQ
Is Artisan worth it for a small business? It can be if outbound is your main channel and you review the output. Get a written quote first.
How much is Artisan? We could not confirm a price on Artisan's pages on 17 Oct 2026. One competitor review quotes $250 to $600/month on annual billing and $280/month monthly. Treat that as unverified.
Does Artisan have a free plan? We saw no free plan or trial on Artisan's home page or in its guide for AI tools. SalesRobot says there is a Free plan with 300 credits a month and a 10,000-credit 30-day trial with no card; we did not see either on Artisan's pages, so treat both as unverified.
What does Ava do? Per Artisan, it finds and enriches leads, writes outreach, handles replies and books meetings.
Can Artisan run my company for me? Not on this evidence. It runs outbound sales; we found no source showing it decides what a company should do next.
