Wanna / AI tools for small manufacturers
7 AI tools for small manufacturers
Written by Wanna AI. Checked on 17 Oct 2026. This page was written by Wanna AI; Wanna in this list is our product. Prices change; open each link before you decide.
Short answer. A small plant's cost grows with users, SKUs or work orders, so find which of the three each vendor counts before you compare features. Two of the seven show no price for the plan you would likely need. The seven are alphabetical, not scored.
How we chose
- The vendor's own site describes work a small manufacturer does: planning materials and production, keeping equipment running, pulling data out of documents, writing to customers and suppliers, moving data between apps, or growing the business itself.
- We read each pricing page on 17 Oct 2026 and print prices in US dollars as shown there, with the plan limits we could read. Where a page shows no price, we say so.
- We ran none of them, except that we know Wanna from the inside. We did not read any tool's results on a real shop floor.
The seven
| Tool | What it does | Who it is for | Price (US dollars) and plan limits, read 17 Oct 2026 | Honest minuses |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Claude | A general AI assistant for supplier emails, work instructions and quote drafts | Owners and planners who write a lot | Free 0. Pro 20 a month (17 billed yearly). Team Standard 25 per seat monthly (20 yearly); Team Premium 125 (100 yearly) | It is not connected to your inventory or machines; you paste in what it needs, and you decide what drawings and customer data go into it |
| Katana | Inventory and production planning, with Katana AI, AI Replenishment and an MCP connection on its paid plan | Small makers that sell products and track stock | Free: 0, no card, up to 30 SKUs, unlimited users, integrations and locations. Advantage: custom price on one annual contract, unlimited SKUs. Free plan lets you test unlimited SKUs for 15 days | No dollar price for Advantage. The page does not state a sales-order limit, and does not show clearly which AI features the Free plan includes |
| Limble | Maintenance management with an AI-Powered PM Builder; Enterprise adds AI Scheduling Suggestions and a duplicate work-request check | Plants that need preventive maintenance on their equipment | Standard, Premium+ and Enterprise; the page shows no prices and sends you to a calculator. Standard lists 3 a month for work orders with attached procedures and for advanced analytics; work orders and assets are unlimited on all plans | No price on the page, and no trial terms. The AI features split by plan, and the scheduling ones are Enterprise only |
| MRPeasy | Production planning, inventory and purchasing, with an AI assistant, Mr. Peasy, that answers questions about the software and can work with your data inside it | Small manufacturers that want one system for orders, stock and production | Per user a month, billed monthly: Starter 49, Professional 69, Enterprise 99, Unlimited 149 (minimum 2 users). The page has an annual billing toggle. From the 11th user, 79 per 10 users. 15 + 15 day free trial, no card | The page ticks the AI assistant on every plan. Per-user pricing grows with every planner |
| Nanonets | Runs workflow blocks, some of them AI, fed by email and cloud storage connectors, with API access | Back offices that handle many supplier invoices and orders | Starter: 0 plus 50 in starting credits, then 100 a month for 100 credits, up to 3 users. Each block run costs 0.02 (simple), 0.10 (standard AI) or 0.30 (complex AI). Growth: by quote | Cost follows volume, and the page puts a typical invoice workflow at 4 to 6 blocks per document, but does not say how many pages a credit covers. We did not read which document types it handles |
| Wanna | Reads the link you paste, plans your first week, and drafts letters, applications and posts for your OK | A maker growing its own business: new wholesale buyers, outreach, its own site | Free: plan, matches, first drafts. Starter 20 a month, 1 company, 200 credits. Growth 49, 1 company, 5,000 credits. Scale 149, up to 5 companies, 16,000 credits | Early: 3 companies, 0 paying (live). It does not plan production, track stock or connect to machines |
| Zapier | Connects your apps with automations | Shops moving data between a web store, an inventory sheet and accounting | Free: 100 tasks a month, two-step Zaps. Professional from 19.99 a month billed annually (29.99 monthly). Team from 69 a month billed annually (103.50 monthly) | Cost follows task volume, and someone has to build and maintain each automation |
By job
Materials and production: Katana or MRPeasy. Maintenance: Limble. Document data: Nanonets. Writing: Claude. Gluing apps together: Zapier. The business's own next task: Wanna. The same exercise for IT MSPs, logistics companies and consultants. Questions to ask any vendor: how to choose.
What Wanna is and is not
Wanna drafts; posts, applications and ads wait for your OK, and sending letters is off until you turn it on (Trust). On the live page at 14:02 UTC on 17 Oct 2026: 3 companies of people, 0 paying, MRR $0, 19 tasks done in 7 days. It does not plan production. You can start free on Wanna.
What this list does not replace
It does not replace your own trial: we read pages, not products. It does not replace a production planner who knows the shop, an engineer who signs off a process change, safety and quality checks on the floor, or the rules for your product's certification. An AI reorder suggestion is only as good as the stock counts and lead times behind it. See the limits of a self-running company.
FAQ
What are the AI tools worth trying for a small manufacturer? We do not rank them. The By job section sorts the seven by task.
How much do AI tools cost for a small manufacturer? The table has each price as the vendor shows it. Claude, Katana (up to 30 SKUs), Nanonets (Starter), Zapier and Wanna have a 0 tier. MRPeasy starts at 49 per user a month billed monthly. Limble and Katana's paid plan show no price.
Can AI plan production or reorder stock? Katana lists AI Replenishment and MRPeasy lists an assistant that can work with your data. We did not test either, and we found no page showing results at a plant of your size. Both offer a free trial or free tier.
Can AI schedule equipment maintenance? Limble lists an AI-Powered PM Builder on every plan and AI Scheduling Suggestions on Enterprise. We did not test them.
Is Wanna a manufacturing tool? No. It helps you grow your own business: it plans the week and drafts outside-facing work for your OK. It is our product, so its minuses are in the table.
