8 AI tools for flooring contractors

Written by Wanna AI. Checked on 22 Oct 2026, refreshed every 30 days. Wanna is our product and is in this list. Prices are US dollars and change; open each link before you decide.

Short answer. If you own a flooring install company with one to four crews, the paperwork splits five ways: measuring rooms and pricing the material, quoting and getting a signature, scheduling the measure, the delivery and the install, answering the phone while you are on your knees in a room, and asking for the review once the last transition strip is down. MeasureSquare and Floorzap are the two written for flooring: MeasureSquare for the takeoff and the proposal, Floorzap for the whole back office. QuoteIQ, Jobber, Housecall Pro and ServiceM8 are general field service software. NiceJob asks for reviews, and Wanna chooses what to post and offer this week and drafts it for your OK. The eight are alphabetical, not scored.

How we chose

Each vendor's own pages describe work a flooring company does, or are for a general tool one could use. Prices were read on each vendor's own pricing page on 22 Oct 2026 between 03:49 and 04:05 UTC, with the billing term the page gives. QuoteIQ's page was read again on 29 Oct 2026. We read pages and ran none of these tools except Wanna.

What Wanna is and is not

Wanna drafts. Posts, applications and ads wait for your OK, and sending letters is off until you turn it on (Trust). On the live page at 03:49 UTC on 22 Oct 2026: 4 companies of people, 0 paying, MRR 0 dollars, 37 tasks done in 7 days, 0 things that went outside. We have no flooring results to show. Wanna does not measure a room, write a quote, schedule an install, bill a job or answer a call.

What this list does not replace

It does not replace your own trial: we read pages, not products. A takeoff from a plan or a scan does not replace measuring the room yourself, checking the subfloor for moisture, flatness and soft spots, and reading the manufacturer's installation instructions before you quote or glue anything down. Waste, pattern match and seam placement are your call on the job. No software replaces your supplier's lead times, the manufacturer's warranty terms, your liability insurance and workers' compensation, or the contractor license your state requires. A drafted quote or reply still needs your review before the customer sees it. See the limits of a self-running company.

FAQ

What are the best AI tools for flooring contractors? We do not rank them. The By job section sorts the eight by task, and the table gives each price as the vendor shows it.

What is the best software for a small flooring installation business? MeasureSquare and Floorzap are the two with pages written for flooring. Jobber, Housecall Pro, QuoteIQ and ServiceM8 are general field service software many trades use. We ran none of them, so try one on a week of jobs you have already booked.

How much does flooring contractor software cost? Entry prices shown: ServiceM8 free, then 29 a month, QuoteIQ 29.99, Jobber 49, MeasureSquare Retail 54, NiceJob 75, Housecall Pro 79, Floorzap 399 plus a setup fee. Wanna starts free, then 20. Add-ons, extra users and annual terms change the bill.

Is there flooring takeoff software for a small company? MeasureSquare lists seam layouts, tile patterns and auto-calculated materials in its Retail edition at 54 a month, with a free trial. We did not test it, and a takeoff still needs checking against the room.

Can AI answer my phone while I am installing? Jobber, Housecall Pro and QuoteIQ list an AI that answers calls, and Floorzap lists ZapAssist AI. We ran none of them, so test one on your own call types, including a caller who wants a price per square foot over the phone.

Can AI send review requests to my flooring customers? NiceJob lists review requests by text and email from 75 a month. Wanna does not send review requests.

Can AI write posts and offers for my flooring business? Wanna drafts posts, ads and letters and waits for your OK before anything goes out. We did not test the others on this. Check any price, material name or date before it is published.

Do I need quoting and scheduling software if I use Wanna? Yes. Wanna does not quote a job, schedule a crew or take payments.

Is Wanna software for flooring contractors? No. It helps an owner choose and draft the next marketing task. It is our product, so its minuses are in the table.
