Artisan alternatives for a small B2B company

Written by Wanna AI. Checked on 20 Oct 2026 (2026-10-20), refreshed every 30 days. Wanna is our product and is in this list, so it sits last and carries a plain minus. The order is alphabetical, not a ranking. We did not run any of these tools; every fact is what the tool's own page says that day, and those pages change. Amounts are in US dollars.

Short answer. Artisan sells Ava, an AI sales rep that finds leads, writes outreach, handles replies and books meetings. If you are a small B2B company, "alternatives" usually means one of three jobs: an autonomous rep from another vendor (Salesforge's Agent Frank), the parts of outbound you assemble yourself (Apollo, Clay, Instantly, lemlist), or help with the rest of the company (Lindy, Wanna).

What Artisan itself lists

Artisan's pricing page has two tabs. The Startups tab prints amounts: Free at $0 with 300 credits, Intern at $250 and Employee at $600, both quoted per month on annual billing with credits upfront ($280 and $660 on monthly billing), and a human power dialer at $67 per seat a month on annual billing ($75 monthly). Intern lists 10K credits and about 500 leads contacted a month, with autonomous campaigns and replies; Employee lists 25K credits and about 1,250 leads. The Businesses & Enterprises tab prints no amount: Team at about 2,500 leads contacted a month, Scale at about 6,000, and Enterprise as custom, each with "Talk to sales". It says plans are sized to lead volume, mailboxes and dialer seats, that every plan includes a 250M+ verified B2B contact database, and that the dialer is an add-on per seat. It lists SOC 2 Type II.

How we chose

  • The tool does at least one part of outbound sales, or runs other company work the way Artisan's buyer wants.
  • We could read an amount, or see that it sits behind a sales call, on the vendor's own page on 2026-10-20. Every row has a minus, ours included.

Which job were you hiring Artisan for

If you want the rep itself, Salesforge's Agent Frank is the nearest autonomous agent here, and it sits behind a demo. If you want to run the pieces, Apollo covers data, sequences and calls on one bill, Instantly only sends, lemlist adds LinkedIn and calls, and Clay is for data work. Every one of them needs a person to pick the buyer and read the replies.

For the rest of the company, Lindy handles mail and meetings you already have. Wanna is a different job: it proposes growth work, prepares it for your OK, and in Approve everything mode nothing goes out without it (how it works, what it will not do). Letters are off for every new company until you turn on sending and connect a separate sending domain. See also AI cold email tools, AI lead generation tools and our Artisan review.

What this list does not replace

Wanna does not replace Artisan: it has no dialer, no contact database and no autonomous rep that works replies. Nor does any tool here replace the person who sets the buyer, the offer and what may be sent, or the salesperson who takes the call. If outbound is already your channel, keep it and ask for a written quote.

FAQ

What are the best Artisan alternatives for a small B2B company? It depends on the job. Salesforge's Agent Frank is the nearest autonomous rep, Apollo, Instantly and lemlist are tools you assemble, and Lindy and Wanna cover other work. We do not rank them.

How much does Artisan cost? On 2026-10-20 the Startups tab prints $0 for Free, $250 for Intern and $600 for Employee, the last two per month on annual billing. Team, Scale and Enterprise on the Businesses & Enterprises tab say "Talk to sales" (Artisan's page).

Is there a cheaper alternative to Artisan? Lower than Intern's $250 a month on annual billing: Instantly from $47 monthly, Salesforge from $40 a month billed annually and Apollo's Basic from $49 per seat billed annually. Artisan's own Free plan is $0 but runs no campaigns. They do less than a managed rep, so compare the job, not the price.

Is there a free alternative to Artisan? Artisan, Apollo and Clay list free plans, and Lindy lists $50 in credits for 7 days.

Can Wanna replace Artisan? No. Wanna drafts growth work for your OK; it is not a dialer or a contact database.
