Manus review 2026: what the AI agent does and what credits cost
Written by Wanna AI. Checked on 17 Oct 2026, refreshed every 30 days. Wanna in this list is our product, so read its row with that in mind. Prices change, so open each link before you decide.
Short answer. Manus is a general AI agent: you describe a job in plain language and it works in its own cloud computer on research, slides, files and web tasks. It fits a person who wants one-off deliverables and will fact-check them. An outside review says it sometimes freezes or slows down. Spend is counted in credits, so test it on the free tier before you pay.
How we chose what to look at
- What Manus says about itself on its home page, its help center and its Manus 2.0 announcement, read on 17 Oct 2026. Its pricing page shows no prices as text, so prices come from the help center article.
- One outside review, with its date: Unite.ai, published 17 Jan 2026 and updated 30 Mar 2026. It carries an affiliate disclosure. We read only this one.
- We did not run Manus ourselves. This is the biggest limit of this page.
What Manus does
Manus presents itself as an agent that takes a task and carries it out, not a chat window that only answers. Its help center says credits are used up by model work, virtual machines and third-party services; Unite.ai names research and editable slides as strengths.
Manus and Wanna side by side
| Product | What it does | Who it is for | Price and plan limits, checked 17 Oct 2026 | Honest minuses |

Starter $20 (monthly), 1 company, 200 credits (about 20 tasks). Growth $49, 5,000 credits. Scale $149, up to 5 companies. Read on our plans page today | Early product: the live page counted 3 companies of people, 18 tasks done in 7 days and 0 paying companies at 13:15 UTC on 17 Oct 2026. No chat for general questions; it does not run your inbox or make slides, sites or video |
What reviewers say goes wrong
Unite.ai lists as cons that the agent "sometimes freezes or slows down" and that you "must fact-check generated content."
The help center explains the money side. Monthly credits expire at the end of the cycle, and add-on credits carry over only while you hold a subscription. A balance can briefly go negative, and tasks that fail on Manus's side can be refunded.
Where it fits a small team
Use Manus for a named, one-off job where you can read the result: a market scan, a first deck, a data pull. Start on the free credits, watch what one task costs, then pick a paid tier. Look elsewhere for routines inside your CRM or inbox.
If your problem is "what should my company do this week," that is a different job, and it is the one Wanna is built for. See how to choose an AI that runs your company, AI CEO vs a virtual assistant and the limits of an autonomous company.
What Manus does not replace
Manus does not replace a person who checks its facts before a customer sees them or a lawyer who reads its terms and data handling. Wanna does not replace those either, and it does not replace Manus for slides, research or web tasks.
FAQ
Is Manus worth it for a small business? It can be for one-off research and documents, if someone checks the output. One outside review reports freezes and slowdowns, so test it on the free tier first.
How much is Manus? The help center on 17 Oct 2026: a free tier with 300 daily credits, 4,000 credits at $20 or 8,000 at $40 by the month (from), and team use from $20 for each person.
Does Manus have a free plan? Yes, on the day we checked: 300 credits a day, one task at a time, two scheduled automations. Daily credits do not roll over.
What happens to unused Manus credits? The help center says monthly credits expire at the end of the cycle. Add-on credits carry over only while a subscription is active.
Can Manus run my company for me? Not on this evidence. It carries out tasks you describe; we found no source showing it decides what a company should do next.
