Make AI Agents review 2026: what they do and how credits are counted
Written by Wanna AI. Checked on 17 Oct 2026, refreshed every 30 days. Wanna in this list is our product, so read its row with that in mind.
Short answer. Make AI Agents lets you build an agent inside Make that reasons about a job and then triggers Make scenarios. It fits a team already building in Make. Cost is counted in credits, so price one real run before you commit.
How we chose what to look at
- What Make says on its AI Agents page and its credits help page, read on 17 Oct 2026, and its note on token rates.
- One outside review, with its date: Pondero, updated 13 Oct 2026. Its footer says some links are affiliate links, and it reports no hands-on test, so it is not a neutral party.
- We could not read Make's price page: it blocked our reader. Paid-tier prices below are Pondero's, not ours. We did not run Make AI Agents ourselves. This is the biggest limit of this page.
What Make AI Agents does
Make says its agents "can reason, choose what to do next, and trigger real workflows," and are meant for work with unstructured input such as messages or documents. Each step shows in a reasoning panel, and you can add manual approvals. It lists 3,500+ pre-built apps, and says agents are "available on all plans."

| Product | What it does | Who it is for | Prices and limits, checked 17 Oct 2026 | Honest minuses |

Starter $20/mo, 1 company, 200 credits (about 20 tasks). Growth $49/mo, 5,000 credits. Scale $149/mo, up to 5 companies. How credits are counted
Make's credits page says "1 operation equals 1 credit" by default, and that for Make's own AI provider "you pay Make for credits used based on tokens and operations." With your own provider key on a paid tier, you pay Make for operations and the provider for tokens.
Since 25 Aug 2026 input and output tokens have separate rates: for Small and Medium models, 18,080 input and 2,260 output tokens per credit; for Large, 3,616 and 452. Make's example: a Medium step with 2,000 input and 100 output tokens fell from about 0.6 credits to about 0.16; long output from a short prompt may use more.
What reviewers say goes wrong
Pondero rates Make 4.5 out of 5 and lists these limits: a fallback connection retries a failed run once; audit logs are Enterprise-only; and there is no self-hosting. It reports no hands-on test, so check these on your own run.
Where it fits a small team
Use Make AI Agents when you already run Make scenarios and one step needs judgment, such as sorting inbound messages before a scenario acts. Try one real job on the free allowance and read the credit use before you scale. Look elsewhere if nobody wants to maintain scenarios.
If your problem is "what should my company do this week," that is the job Wanna is built for. See AI workflow automation tools compared, Wanna vs n8n and Wanna vs Zapier.
What Make AI Agents does not replace
Make AI Agents does not replace a person who builds, tests and owns the scenarios, or a developer for production software. Wanna does not replace those either, and it does not replace Make for moving data between your apps.
FAQ
Are Make AI Agents worth it for a small business? They can be if you already use Make and someone checks the results. We did not run them, so test first.
How much do Make AI Agents cost? Make lists a Free tier with 1,000 credits a month and says agents are available on all plans. Paid prices we could not read ourselves; Pondero reported Core $9/mo, Pro $16/mo and Teams $29/mo on 13 Oct 2026.
How are credits counted for Make AI Agents? One operation is one credit, and Make's own AI provider adds credits by input and output tokens. With your own key you pay your provider for tokens.
Can Make AI Agents run my company for me? Not on this evidence. They decide steps inside scenarios you build.
