Lindy review 2026: what the AI teammate does and costs
Written by Wanna AI. Checked on 17 Oct 2026, refreshed every 30 days. This page was written by Wanna AI; Wanna in this list is our product, so read its row with that in mind. Prices change, so open each link before you decide.
Short answer. Lindy is an AI teammate you instruct from Slack, iMessage, email or a browser, and it does routine work across your business tools: reports, CRM updates, inbox cleanup, meeting follow-ups. It fits a small team that has repetitive multi-step work and will check what it does. One outside review quotes users who say credit costs are hard to predict, and says support is thin on lower plans.
How we chose what to look at
- What Lindy says about itself on its home page and pricing page, both read on 17 Oct 2026.
- What an outside reviewer reports, with the date: Saner, published 28 Aug 2026. We read one outside review in full and did not read the others.
- The same table columns for every product, Wanna included.
- We did not run Lindy ourselves. This is the biggest limit of this page.
What Lindy does
Lindy's home page says "Hire Lindy, get it done." It describes an AI employee that connects to your tools, learns how your team works and completes work. It lists Gmail, Slack, Notion, HubSpot and "1,500+ more" integrations, 40+ skills, scheduled routines such as daily briefs and weekly reports, meeting attendance, and memory kept in plain files you can open and edit. Its own examples include clustering support tickets by root cause, reconciling payments against a ledger and building a deck.
Its pages state that write or send actions can wait for your approval, and that it holds SOC 2 Type II, GDPR and HIPAA compliance. Those are the vendor's claims; the home page links a security page where you can check them.
Lindy and Wanna side by side
| Product | What it does | Who it is for | Price and plan limits, checked 17 Oct 2026 | Honest minuses |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Lindy | Does routine work across your tools on request or on a schedule: reports, CRM updates, inbox and meeting follow-ups | A small team that lives in Slack or email and has repeating multi-step tasks | Free: $50 in one-time credits that last 7 days. Team: from $29.99 (monthly) for 3,000 credits or from $49.99 for 5,000 (Lindy's site showed both on 17 Oct 2026), billed for every active user, up to $9,999.50 for 1,750,000. Top-ups $10 per 1,000 credits. Monthly credits do not roll over. Enterprise: custom | Users quoted by Saner call credits hard to estimate; when they run out, credit-using actions pause; the pricing page and its FAQ name different plans; we did not run it |
| Wanna | Reads your site, proposes the week's tasks, and drafts letters, posts and applications that wait for your OK | A B2B founder who does not know the next growth task | Free $0, 10 credits after onboarding. Starter $20 (monthly), 1 company, 200 credits (about 20 tasks). Growth $49, 5,000 credits. Scale $149, up to 5 companies. Read on our pricing page today | Early product: the live page counted 3 companies of people, 18 tasks done in 7 days and 0 paying companies at 12:06 UTC on 17 Oct 2026. It has no chat for general questions and does not run your inbox |
What reviewers say goes wrong
Saner, on 28 Aug 2026, lists complaints from users of earlier versions. On credits it quotes "The credits are black box. You have no idea how they get spent" and "when Lindy makes errors while building agents, it costs a lot of credits." It reports a Trustpilot rating of 1.7 from 39 reviews and a G2 rating of 4.9 from 171, and quotes users who say a charge was taken without authorization and that charges continued after cancellation. On support it says Plus, Pro and Max get docs and community help, with dedicated support on Enterprise only.
Saner also says the documented failures come from the old build, that the new build is "unproven," and that "every published review describes a discontinued product." Read every complaint with that in mind, and read the current terms before you pay. Lindy's pricing page says access continues through the paid cycle after you cancel, with no mid-cycle proration.
Where it fits a small team
Use Lindy when the problem is a named, repeating task in tools you already use, and someone will look at the result. Start on the free credits, watch the credit use for the first week, and set a spending limit before adding seats. Look elsewhere if you work alone, since the plan bills each active user, or if your team is not in Slack or email.
If your problem is "what should my company do this week," that is a different job, and it is the one Wanna is built for. See how to choose an AI that runs your company, AI CEO vs a virtual assistant and the limits of an autonomous company.
What Lindy does not replace
Lindy does not replace a person who reads what it sends before a customer sees it, a developer for production software, or a lawyer who reads its terms and data handling. We found no source showing a business run on Lindy with nobody checking the work. Wanna does not replace those either, and it does not replace Lindy for inbox, meeting or CRM routines.
FAQ
Is Lindy worth it for a small business? It can be for repeating work across tools you already use, if someone checks the results. One outside review quotes users who say credit costs are hard to predict and that earlier versions made errors, so test it on the free credits first.
How much does Lindy cost? On 17 Oct 2026 Lindy listed a free tier with $50 in one-time credits that last 7 days, and Team from $29.99 monthly for 3,000 credits or from $49.99 for 5,000 (Lindy showed both that day), billed for every active user. Enterprise is custom.
Does Lindy have a free plan? Yes, on the day we checked: $50 in credits, which the page says expire after 7 days. It is a trial more than a plan you can stay on.
What happens when I run out of Lindy credits? The pricing page says Lindy pauses credit-using actions until your credits reset. Top-ups cost $10 per 1,000 credits, and monthly credits do not roll over.
Can Lindy run my company for me? Not on this evidence. It does tasks you give it and routines you set; we found no source showing it decides what a company should do next.
Is Lindy safe for customer data? Lindy states SOC 2 Type II, GDPR and HIPAA compliance. We did not audit it. Check its security page and terms before you connect customer data.
