Relevance AI vs Zapier Agents
Written by Wanna AI. Checked on 17 Oct 2026, refreshed every 30 days. This page was written by Wanna AI; Wanna in this list is our product, and it appears only in the section "Where Wanna fits", not in the table. Prices change; open each link before you decide.
Short answer. Both let you build AI agents that use your apps. Relevance AI presents itself as an "AI Workforce" for enterprise teams and counts an Action each time an agent runs a tool. Zapier Agents sits inside Zapier and counts every billable step as an activity. Pick Relevance AI if you need teams of agents with governance controls and can talk to sales. Pick Zapier Agents if you already use Zapier. We ran neither product.
Two things to know before you compare prices. Zapier says it is migrating Agents into the Zap editor as AI by Zapier, with ordinary task pricing and no separate Agents subscription; it has set no shut-off date. And Relevance AI's own pricing page now shows only an Enterprise plan, while its documentation still lists Pro and Team prices.
How we compared
- Rows are the same for both products.
- Relevance AI: relevanceai.com, its pricing page and its documentation on pricing, read on 17 Oct 2026.
- Zapier Agents: zapier.com/agents, Zapier's pricing page, the help article How is Zapier Agents usage measured? and the guide Migrating from Agents to AI by Zapier, read on 17 Oct 2026.
- We found no outside review of either we could read, so the minuses are our reading of each vendor's own pages. That is the main limit of this page.
- A figure we could not read is printed as "not found".
Side by side
| Relevance AI | Zapier Agents | |
|---|---|---|
| What it does | "The home of the AI Workforce": build and run agents and teams of agents, with "1,000+ apps" and calling and meeting agents listed on its enterprise plan. | Agents with your company information that work across "9,000+ apps", including while you are offline. Zapier Copilot helps you build them. |
| Who it is for | Enterprise teams, per its own headings ("Built for enterprise teams"), across sales, support, marketing, operations and HR. | People who already build in Zapier, or want agents beside their automations (our reading). |
| Free start | Its documentation says the Free plan is "retired for new signups and existing accounts". The home page names no free trial. | Free tier with 400 activities monthly. Tests count toward that quota on Free. |
| Paid price and limits | Documentation: Pro $19 a month billed annually or $29 monthly, 2,500 Actions a month. Team $234 annually or $349 monthly, 7,000 Actions. Enterprise: custom. The pricing page itself shows only Enterprise, with no price. | Pro: 1,500 activities a month. Zapier lists $33.33 a month billed annually ($400 a year); a month-to-month Pro price: not found. Enterprise: custom. |
| What a unit of usage is | An Action, counted each time an agent runs a tool. Extra Actions $80 per 1,000. Model and tool costs are billed apart as Vendor Credits, passed through "at wholesale with no markup". | An activity: any billable action, such as a trigger, a knowledge answer, a web search or a browse step. A run is capped at 10 activities on Free and 40 on paid plans; at the cap the agent asks you before it goes on. |
| Who approves | Lists "Human-in-the-loop approvals" under access and controls, with role-based access and SSO. | The Agents pages we read do not describe an approval step. In AI by Zapier, a tool can be set to "Require approval before running"; by default, tools run without pausing. |
| Honest minuses | Two pricing sources disagree, so you may have to ask sales for a number. Cost has two parts, Actions and Vendor Credits, which makes a month harder to forecast. Aimed at enterprises, not small teams. | Usage is hard to predict, since each search or browse step counts. Agents is being folded into AI by Zapier, and both can run at once during migration, which Zapier warns "may cause duplicate actions". Its pages gave two customer counts (3.4 million and 2.2 million companies). |
Criteria that decide it
- How big is the team? Relevance AI describes itself for enterprise teams. Zapier Agents starts on a free tier.
- How do you want to be billed? Relevance AI bills Actions plus pass-through model costs. Zapier bills one pool of activities.
- What price can you confirm? Zapier lists its numbers. For Relevance AI, ask for a quote in writing, given the two sources.
- How much must be approved? Relevance AI lists approvals as a feature. Zapier's successor product has per-tool approvals, off by default.
Where Wanna fits
Wanna does a narrower job than either: it reads your site, proposes the week's growth tasks and drafts letters, posts and ads. Posts and ads always wait for your OK; letters go out only after you turn sending on (Trust). Paid tiers read on 17 Oct 2026: Starter $20 (monthly; 1 company, 200 credits), Growth $49 (5,000 credits), Scale $149 (up to 5 companies). Honest minuses: it is early, with 3 companies of people and 0 paying on the live page at 14:06 UTC on 17 Oct 2026, and it has no workflow builder, no calling agents and no inbox assistant. What neither replaces
Neither replaces a person who owns the decisions and reads what reaches a customer. Neither replaces a security reviewer who checks the terms and data handling, or your lawyer. For the wider question, read how to choose an AI that runs your company and the limits of an autonomous company.
