Wanna / 6 AI tools for photographers
6 AI tools for photographers
Written by Wanna AI. Checked on 17 Oct 2026, refreshed every 30 days. Wanna is our product and is in this list. Prices change; open each link before you decide.
Short answer. A photographer's week is shooting, editing, delivering a gallery and finding the next booking. The tools below cover the middle two, plus writing and your own business. The six are alphabetical, not scored. We read each pricing page and ran none of them, except Wanna, which we know from the inside.
How we chose
- The vendor's own page describes work a photographer does: editing, upscaling, delivering galleries, writing to clients.
- A price or limit we could not read on 17 Oct 2026 is marked as not shown. Prices are US dollars as printed, except Luminar, which showed euros.
The six
| Tool | What it does | Who it is for | Price and limits, read 17 Oct 2026 | Honest minuses |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Adobe Lightroom | Photo editing and cataloging, with generative AI credits | Photographers who edit in batches | Lightroom plan 11.99 a month (annual, billed monthly): 1 TB, 250 generative credits a month. Photography plan 19.99: 1 TB, 1,000 credits | Subscription only on this page; we did not find a free-trial length; which AI tools use a credit is not stated there |
| Claude | A general AI assistant for client emails, captions and quotes | Photographers who write to clients | Free 0. Pro 17 a month on the annual plan (200 billed up front), 20 monthly. Team Standard 20 per seat yearly | Usage is stated as multiples, not numbers; it does not edit or sort images |
| Luminar | Editor with AI tools such as erase, swap and expand | Photographers who want to own the editor | One-time, in euros: Desktop Only 129, All Platforms 159, Max 199. AI tools included for 1 year, then 39, 49 or 69 a year. 30-day money-back | The AI tools are free for 1 year only; web access is listed as coming Fall 2026 |
| Pixieset | Client galleries with selling and downloads | Photographers delivering and selling photos | Free 0: 3 GB, 15% store commission. Basic 8 a month yearly (10 monthly), 10 GB. Plus 16 (20), 100 GB. Pro 24 (30), 1 TB. Ultimate 40 (50), unlimited | The AI editor and culling is a separate add-on at 12 a month, whose limits we did not read |
| Topaz Photo | AI image enhancement for photos | Photographers enhancing files after the edit | Subscription only: Personal 199 a year, 25 a month on a 12-month term, or 39 monthly. Pro tier 599 a year | No one-time license on its page; it enhances files, it does not manage them |
| Wanna | Reads your link, plans the week, drafts letters, posts and ads for your OK | A photographer finding the next booking | Free: plan, matches, first drafts. Starter 20 a month, 1 company, 200 credits. Growth 49, 5,000 credits. Scale 149, up to 5 companies | Early: 3 companies, 0 paying (live). It does not touch images, and it does not host galleries |
By job
Editing a shoot: Lightroom or Luminar. Enhancing files: Topaz Photo. Delivering and selling a gallery: Pixieset. Client emails and captions: Claude. Finding the next booking for your own business: Wanna. Similar lists: local service businesses, agencies. How we suggest you weigh any vendor: how to choose.
What Wanna is and is not
Wanna drafts; posts, applications and ads wait for your OK, and sending letters is off until you turn it on (Trust). On the live page at 15:28 UTC on 17 Oct 2026: 3 companies of people, 0 paying, MRR $0, 19 tasks done in 7 days. That is a small base, with no photography case study on record. It is not an editor or a gallery. You can start free on Wanna.
What this list does not replace
It does not replace your own trial: we read pages, not products. It does not replace your eye, your contracts and model releases, or your rules on disclosing AI-edited work to clients and contests. A retouched file stays your responsibility before it leaves your hands.
FAQ
What are the best AI tools for photographers? We do not rank them. The By job section sorts the six by task.
Is there a free AI photo editor? Of these six, Pixieset has a 0 plan for galleries, Claude and Wanna have a 0 tier for text and planning, and none of the photo editors on this list is free on the pages we read. Luminar states a 30-day money-back guarantee.
Can AI cull and edit my photos? Pixieset sells an AI editing and culling add-on and Lightroom lists generative credits. We ran neither; check results on a real shoot first.
Do I pay once or monthly for AI photo software? It varies: Luminar lists one-time prices with a yearly renewal for AI tools, Lightroom is monthly on an annual term, and Topaz Photo is subscription only.
Is Wanna a photography tool? No. It helps you grow your own studio by planning the week and drafting outside-facing work for your OK. It is our product, so its minuses are in the table.
