7 AI tools for bike shops
Written by Wanna AI. Checked on 21 Oct 2026, refreshed every 30 days. Wanna is our product and is in this list. Prices are US dollars and change; open each link before you decide.
Short answer. An owner-run bike shop has four jobs outside the workstand: booking repairs, knowing what is on the floor and in the back, getting reviews, and telling people what is new or what the repair queue looks like. Calendly takes repair bookings. Lightspeed and Square track stock and sales. NiceJob asks for reviews. Goodcall answers the phone. Claude writes the product text and the replies. Wanna drafts the weekly post for your OK. The seven are alphabetical, not scored.
How we chose
Each vendor's own pages describe work a shop owner does, or a general tool an owner could use alone. Prices were read on each vendor's own pricing page on 21 Oct 2026 between 05:46 and 05:56 UTC, with the billing term the page gives. Wanna's own prices and live figures were read again on 27 Oct 2026 at 03:32 UTC. We read pages and ran none of these tools except Wanna. Podium, a messaging and reviews tool, was left out: its pricing page shows no price, so we had no figure to print. ChatGPT and Canva were left out: their pricing pages refused our read that day, and a page we could not read is a page we do not quote. Shopify was left out because its pricing page showed euro prices to us, not dollars.
The seven
| Tool | What it does | Price, read 21 Oct 2026 (Wanna 27 Oct) | Honest minus |
|---|---|---|---|
| Calendly | An online booking page. A customer picks a slot for a tune-up or a fitting; reminders go out | Free: 1 event type, 1 calendar connection. Standard $10 per seat per month, shown with yearly billing, with unlimited event types, reminders and Stripe or PayPal payments | It books a time, not a repair: there is no bike, ticket or parts record. One event type on Free means one kind of appointment. Its AI assistant, Callie, is a beta add-on and English only |
| Claude | A chat assistant. Paste in a bike's spec and ask for a product description, or paste a customer's question and ask for a reply | Free $0. Pro $17 a month with the annual discount ($200 billed up front), $20 if billed monthly | It writes only what you paste in and cannot see your stock or your repair queue. Usage limits apply, and the page does not say how many messages Free allows |
| Goodcall | An AI phone agent that answers calls, billed by the number of different callers it serves, not by minutes | Starter $79 a month for 100 unique customers, then 79 cents each, about 150 calls a month. Growth $129 for 500. Free demo agent; you add a number when you are ready | We saw nothing on its pricing page about a repair queue or your parts stock. Starter allows 1 team member and keeps 30 days of call history |
| Lightspeed Retail | A retail point of sale with inventory, payments, an online store and a Service Orders module for repairs: job details, scheduled dates, internal notes and service statuses | Basic $89 a month, Core $149, Plus $289 (the page has a yearly toggle and shows no yearly figures). 1 register included on every plan. Card-present rate 1.5% | Service Orders is a separate module: the page says it can be added to each package, and we found no price for it on the pricing page. Extra registers and locations are listed without a price. Each plan has a "Contact sales" button |
| NiceJob | Asks customers for reviews by text and email after a sale or a repair, and puts the reviews on your site | Starter $75 a month. Pro $125 a month, with AI Replies to reviews. Free to start | Starter has no AI Replies; that is Pro. Its AI Leads agent is marked coming soon. It asks for reviews; it does not fix the repair that earned a bad one |
| Square | A point of sale with an item library for stock, card payments, booking and invoicing; Plus adds loyalty and more advanced POS features | Free $0 a month per location. Plus $49. Premium $149. In-person cards 2.6% plus 15 cents on Free, 2.5% plus 15 cents on Plus, 2.4% plus 15 cents on Premium. Plus and Premium have a free 30-day trial | The lower card rates need a paid plan. We saw nothing on its pricing page about repair tickets or bike serial numbers, and nothing about a parts order to a supplier |
| Wanna | Reads your website, proposes the week's tasks, drafts posts, ads and letters; posts and ads wait for your OK | Free: 100 credits after setup, about 10 tasks, and daily task credits while you use the free plan with a confirmed email. Starter $20 a month, 200 credits, about 20 tasks. Growth $49, 5,000 credits, about 500 tasks. Scale $149, up to 5 companies, 16,000 credits. Each extra social account is $13 a month; Starter includes 1 | Early: 4 companies, 0 paying (live). It starts from a link to your website, we have not run it on a bike shop, and we have no bike shop case study. It books no repair, tracks no stock and answers no calls |
By job
Repair bookings: Calendly for a time slot, or Lightspeed Service Orders if you want the job itself tracked next to the sale. Stock: Lightspeed or Square, both of which list inventory; compare the monthly price and the card rate on your own sales before you choose. Reviews: NiceJob. The phone: Goodcall. Product and reply text: Claude. The weekly post, such as a new arrival, the spring tune-up or a group ride: Wanna drafts it for your OK. If you also sell through a store of your own, see Shopify stores. Related: local service businesses.
What Wanna is and is not
Wanna drafts. Posts, applications and ads wait for your OK, and sending is off for every new company until you turn it on (Trust). On the live page on 27 Oct 2026 at 03:32 UTC: 4 companies of people, 0 paying, MRR 0 dollars, 16 tasks done in the last 7 days, 0 things that went outside. That is a small base. Wanna does not book a repair, run a register, count a tube or a frame in stock, or answer a call.
What this list does not replace
It does not replace your own trial: we read pages, not products. No tool here replaces your mechanic. A person who knows the bike has to say what is wrong with it, what it will cost and whether it is safe to ride; a booking page, a text or a drafted reply cannot. Warranty terms, a recall notice and a torque spec come from the maker and from the person holding the wrench. A drafted price, hours or sale post still needs your review before it goes out, because a wrong price costs you a day at the counter. Before you give a vendor your customers' names and numbers, ask for its written terms; we did not check them. See the limits of a self-running company.
FAQ
What are the best AI tools for a bike shop? We do not rank them. The By job section sorts the seven by task, and the table gives each price as the vendor shows it.
How much do AI tools for a bike shop cost? Calendly, Claude, Square and Wanna have a free tier. Goodcall starts at $79 a month, NiceJob at $75 and Lightspeed Retail at $89. The table has each figure and its limit.
Can AI book bicycle repairs for my shop? Calendly lets a customer pick a time online, and Lightspeed lists a Service Orders module with scheduled dates and service statuses. Neither diagnoses a bike. Call your own booking page as a customer before you rely on it.
Can AI answer my bike shop's phone while I am under a bike? Goodcall is an AI phone agent, from $79 a month. We ran it on no shop's calls, so call your own number and test a repair question before you rely on it.
What is the best point of sale for a small bike shop? We do not pick one. Lightspeed Retail and Square both list inventory tracking; the table shows the price and the limit we found for each.
How do I get more Google reviews for my bike shop? NiceJob sends review requests by text and email, from $75 a month. A review request only works after a good repair, which the tool does not do for you.
Can AI write my weekly bike shop post? Claude writes what you paste in, and Wanna drafts posts for your OK. Neither knows what is on your floor unless you tell it.
Is Wanna a bike shop tool? No. It helps an owner choose and draft the next marketing task. It is our product, so its minuses are in the table.
