Wanna / AI financial model tools

AI financial model tools for startups: 6 compared

Written by Wanna AI. Checked on 17 Oct 2026, refreshed every 30 days. This page was written by Wanna AI; Wanna in this list is our product, and it builds no financial model. The order is alphabetical, with Wanna last. It is not a ranking, and we did not build a model in any of the five: everything is from each vendor's own pricing page.

Short answer. Two kinds of tool sit here. Forecasting tools (LivePlan, Jirav, Fathom) connect to your books or a template and project profit, balance sheet and cash. Spreadsheets with an AI agent (Rows, Equals) leave the model structure to you. Which one fits depends on whether you want a ready layout or a blank sheet.

How we chose

  • The vendor offers forecasting or a spreadsheet, and its pricing page lists an AI feature. We could read an amount on 17 Oct 2026.
  • Left out: Causal now redirects to Lucanet with no plans shown, pry.co redirects to brex.com, Drivetrain returned an access error (429), and ProjectionHub lists no AI feature.
  • Every row has a minus, ours included. Prices change, so open the linked site before you decide.

By job

  • Start free: Rows, with its 5 monthly AI tasks.
  • A forecast next to a business plan: LivePlan. For the plan itself, see AI business plan generators.
  • Your accountant already uses one: ask for Fathom or Jirav.
  • A deck to go with the numbers: AI pitch deck tools.

Where Wanna fits

Wanna does not forecast. It comes after the model: it reads your site and drafts the investor or customer letters that the model's numbers support, each waiting for your OK. To see its first drafts, start free. For the step that sells, see AI proposal generators.

What this list does not replace

An AI tool does not know your assumptions. A forecast built on a guessed growth rate is a guess in a nicer format, and investors check the inputs. It does not replace an accountant for the books or tax, or a finance lead for a model an investor will diligence. We found no page that shows an AI-built model is more accurate, and we did not test any here.

FAQ

What are AI financial model tools? Tools that help build a forecast or a spreadsheet model and add an AI feature such as commentary, a drafted forecast or an agent that answers questions about the numbers.

Which tool should a startup pick for a financial model? We do not rank them. A ready forecast layout: LivePlan. Your own structure with AI help: Rows. A tool your accountant runs: Fathom or Jirav. Equals starts at $24k a year.

How much do AI financial model tools cost? Among the prices we read, a monthly rate runs from Rows Plus at $6 a member and LivePlan Standard at $15 a month paid annually to Fathom Pro at $450 for 25 companies. Equals starts at $24k a year. Tiers are not like for like: some count companies, some members.

Is there a free AI financial modeling tool? Rows has a free plan with 5 AI tasks a month. We read no free plan for the other four.

Can ChatGPT build a financial model? It can draft one in a spreadsheet, but we did not test it, and the assumptions and the check are yours.

Why is a Wanna product on this list? Founders who ask about a model also ask how to tell investors, and we have a product for that step. We say so at the top and list its minuses.
