Playbook / Lessons / First customers: the offer, the price
Cash-flow businessPrice on value and earn more from fewer sales
Drysdale compares his design ebook, priced at $39, with a rival's ebook priced at $3-6 and reports that he earned more money from far fewer sales. He argues that price should follow the value the buyer receives and that a higher price filters customers down to the serious ones. He adds that higher profits let him serve his customers better.
“Customers do not buy because of price; they buy because of the value they receive.”— Jarrod Drysdale, Perfect Pricing Part Deux — More money from fewer sales, Apr 2012
