Is there an AI assistant for a hair or beauty salon: bookings, posts and reviews?

Wanna / AI assistant for a hair or beauty salon

Yes, there are several, but we found no single one that does all three well. Bookings, posts and reviews are sold as separate kinds of tool, so a salon owner who wants all three needs two or three of them. Wanna covers the posts and the review requests as drafts for your OK. It does not take bookings and it does not answer the phone.

What we found when we asked

On 31 Oct 2026 we put this question to five AI answer engines and one web search. Two of the engines did not return an answer, so they are not counted. The three that did, and the search, each split the question into parts:

  • Bookings and calls. The names that came up included Phorest, Meevo, Zenoti, Fresha, Booksy, GlossGenius and Vagaro, plus AI receptionist services that answer calls and book appointments.
  • Posts. General tools such as Canva, Jasper, Buffer and Later, and salon marketing automation services.
  • Reviews. Review-request and reputation tools such as Podium and NiceJob.

Much of what we read about these is the vendors' own description, and we have not tested any of them. None of the answers named Wanna.

The three jobs, one at a time

Bookings. A booking system holds your calendar, deposits and client records. An AI receptionist on top of it can answer a call or a message and book a slot. This is the part where a purpose-built salon tool is the right choice, and it is not what Wanna does.

Posts. This is writing and planning: a caption, an offer for a quiet weekday, a short clip. An AI can draft these. What it cannot know is your price, your opening hours or the date an offer ends, so those come from you.

Reviews. The AI part is asking. A short message to a client right after the visit, with the review link, is the step that is easy to skip. Drafting that message is easy. Sending it at the end of the visit, while the client is still with you, stays your habit.

What Wanna does for a salon

You paste your website link. Wanna reads it and writes down what it understood, with the page each fact came from, so you can correct it. It then plans your week and drafts the first things: posts, an offer, a message to past clients and a message asking clients for a review.

By default, anything that would leave your business waits for your OK. Posts, ads and spending always wait. One button stops the whole team at any time.

On one real run, a salon and day spa in Northwest Houston, Wanna found a 20% facials offer at a new location on the salon's site and planned two days around it. The page was done on day one. The message to past clients did not start, because the free credits had run out. The whole run is in AI agents for salons. If your problem is quiet days rather than tools, read filling quiet days at a hair salon.

What Wanna does not replace

  • Your booking system. Wanna does not take bookings or payments. Clients book and pay the salon directly, in whatever system you use.
  • A phone receptionist. Wanna does not answer calls or texts from clients.
  • You in the chair. It does not cut, color or style, and it does not ask a client for a review in person.
  • The facts only you hold. Prices, hours and offer end dates come from you.
  • A result. We have no salon outcome to show beyond the run above, so we promise no new clients.

FAQ

Is there an AI assistant for a hair or beauty salon? Yes, in parts. Booking and receptionist tools, post-writing tools and review tools exist separately. Wanna drafts posts and review requests for your OK; it does not book or answer calls.

Can AI handle bookings for my salon? Booking tools and AI receptionists do. Wanna does not take bookings.

Can AI write my salon's Instagram posts? It can draft them. With Wanna, a post waits for your OK before anything is published.

Can AI get me more reviews? It can draft the message that asks for one. The ask works best at the end of the visit, which stays with you.

Can AI answer my salon's phone? AI receptionist services exist for this. Wanna is not one.

Is Wanna free for a salon? The start is free with no card: 10 credits after setup, enough for one task, and one more free task every day in the weeks you use Wanna.
