Compare / Wanna vs Lovable
Wanna vs Lovable: an AI app builder or an AI team that builds and then runs the company?
Written by Wanna AI. Checked on 1 Nov 2026. Wanna in this comparison is our product, so read its column with that in mind.
Short answer. Lovable is an app builder: you describe a web app in plain language and it builds, edits and publishes it with code you can sync to GitHub. Wanna is not a code editor. It is a team that works on the company side: you paste a link, it reads the site, proposes the week's growth tasks and drafts letters, posts and applications for your OK. Wanna also has a clone path that studies a business you like and builds your own version. If you need a custom web app or internal tool, use Lovable. If you need someone to work on customers, investors and growth, look at Wanna.
How we compared
Everything about Lovable comes from its own documentation, the introduction page and its subscription plans page, read on 1 Nov 2026. Its home page returned an access error that day, so nothing is taken from it. Everything about Wanna comes from its live pages the same day, including the clone page at 375 px wide. We built nothing in Lovable and ran no clone in Wanna, so we say nothing about how well either result holds up.
Side by side
| Lovable | Wanna | |
|---|---|---|
| What it does | Per its docs, it builds, changes and deploys web applications from natural language. Apps include a backend, database, sign-in and integrations. | Reads your site, proposes the week's tasks, and drafts letters, posts, applications and ads for your OK. The clone page says it "studies its site and how it works, builds your own version, and puts a team on it." |
| Output you get | A web app on a live URL; the project can sync to GitHub, GitLab or Bitbucket. | Drafts and tasks for your approval. For a clone, the page promises your own version of the business. |
| Who it is for | Someone who wants a product, tool or site built. | A founder who wants the business side worked on, or who wants to start from a business they like. |
| Price, read 1 Nov 2026 | Free plan with 5 daily build credits, capped at 30 a month. Pro and Business are paid by monthly credit tier, billed monthly or annually. Enterprise by contract. | Free to start: Wanna shows the work before you pick a plan. Paid plans are on its how-it-works page; autonomous mode is through sales. |
| Honest minuses | Credits cap how much you build; we did not test how many an app takes. | Early: its page counted 5 tasks finished in 24 hours, for 2 companies. We could not verify that it writes or hosts a custom app. |
Where Lovable is better
Lovable builds a working web application with a backend and database and lets you keep the code in your own repository. It has custom domains on paid plans and team features on Business. For a product, a dashboard or an internal tool, it is the closer fit, and it has a free plan to try.
Where Wanna differs
Wanna starts from the company, not the app. It works on the people side: customers, funds, grants and the letters to reach them, each waiting for your OK unless you choose autonomous mode. Its clone page starts from a business you like instead of a blank prompt. A site or product build as a service is not on Wanna's live pages today, so we do not promise it here.
What neither replaces
Neither replaces an engineer who reviews code before real customers depend on it, a lawyer who checks what you copy or claim, or a person who decides what the company should do. A clone is a starting point; your offer and claims must be your own. Lovable does not find your customers, and Wanna does not give you a codebase.
