Wanna / AI tools for HVAC and plumbing companies
7 AI tools for HVAC and plumbing companies
Short answer. An HVAC or plumbing owner asks about two jobs: answering calls and finding new customers. Jobber's Plus plan lists both, an AI Receptionist and its Marketing Suite, inside its field service software. To answer calls and book jobs, look at an AI receptionist: Goodcall, or the one inside your Jobber or Housecall Pro. To find new customers through posts, ads and letters, look at Jobber's Marketing Suite if you run Jobber, or at Wanna, which works next to any job software; both wait for your OK before posts go out. Wanna does not answer calls.

An HVAC or plumbing company loses jobs in four places: the call nobody picked up, the quote that went quiet, the happy customer who never left a review and the lead nobody followed up. Three of the seven show no price on the pages we read, so the table says so. The seven are alphabetical, not scored. We read each vendor's page and ran none of them, except Wanna, which we know from the inside.
How we chose
The vendor's own page describes one of the four jobs above for a trades business, or is a general tool its owner could use. A price or limit we could not read on 22 Oct 2026 is marked as not shown. Prices are in US dollars, as read that day; each link goes to the vendor's home page. Our wider list for local service businesses covers more trades.
The seven
| Tool | What it does | Who it is for | Price and limits, read 22 Oct 2026 | Honest minuses |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Birdeye | Reviews: AI agents that send review requests, reply to reviews and turn good ones into posts; replies can post on their own or wait for your approval | A company that wants review requests and replies handled in one place | Not shown. The pricing page asks for your number of locations and sends you to a quote | Its pricing page is built around your number of locations, so you get a quote, not a price; the page does not name the review sites it covers |
| Goodcall | An AI phone agent that answers calls, books appointments, texts details and sends you each lead when a call ends | An owner who wants an AI phone answerer billed by unique customers, not minutes | Starter 79 a month for 100 unique customers, then 79 cents each. Growth 129 for 500, then 26 cents. Scale 299 for 2,000, then 15 cents. The page says it does not meter minutes | Not trade-specific: the only trade it shows is a plumbing example, and it names no HVAC |
| Housecall Pro | Field service software: quotes by text or email, scheduling, invoicing, review collection; CSR AI is a separate add-on that answers calls and chats | A trades company that runs jobs from a phone and a van | Basic 59 a month billed yearly (79 monthly), 1 user. Essentials 149 (189), 5 users. Max 299 (329), 8 users, 35 for each extra user. 14-day free trial, no card. CSR AI: no price shown | Automated follow-ups are listed only under a separate Pipeline add-on; the page shows short introductory offers, so the figures here are list prices |
| Jobber | Field service software: quotes, scheduling, invoicing and quote follow-ups; an AI Receptionist answers calls and texts, takes requests and books visits; Marketing Suite creates a marketing plan and content for your business, and you approve before anything goes out | A small crew that wants one tool from first call to invoice | Core 29 a month billed yearly (49 with no commitment), 1 user. Connect 99 (139), 1 user. Grow 149 (199), 1 user. Plus from 399 (499), 5 users. Each extra user 29. The page lists the AI Receptionist in Plus and as a 29 a month add-on elsewhere, and Marketing Suite in Plus and as a 99 a month add-on elsewhere. 14-day trial on Grow, no card | Review requests need a Reviews add-on; the AI Receptionist page gives no add-on price and says its demo cannot transfer a call to a person; the page shows short introductory offers, so the figures here are list prices |
| Podium | Texting with customers and reviews collected by text; the AI Employee add-on answers and schedules | A company that gets most leads by text and web chat | Not shown. The page says to talk to sales; the AI Employee is an add-on to any plan | No price to compare; we found no mention of missed-call text-back on the page we read |
| ServiceTitan | Software for dispatch, scheduling, call booking, estimates and invoicing; it names HVAC and plumbing among its trades and lists an AI Virtual Agent and Contact Center Pro | A company that wants dispatch, call booking and estimates in one system | Not shown. Priced per technician; each package ends in a request for pricing | The page names its AI features without saying what they do, so we cannot say how they handle a call |
| Smith.ai | A virtual front desk: real people answer your calls. The page also has an AI-first option | An owner who cannot answer the phone on a job and wants a person to | Starter 300 a month for 30 calls (11.50 for each call over). Basic 810 for 90 (10.50). Pro 2,100 for 300 (8.50). Enterprise: ask. No price shown for the AI-first option | Priced per call, so a storm week costs more; we read the human answering plans, not an AI plan |
| Wanna | Reads your site, proposes the week's tasks, drafts letters, posts and ads. Posts and ads always wait for your OK; letters go out only after you turn sending on (Trust) | An owner looking for new customers and local partners through marketing | Free: 10 credits after setup, enough for one task, then one more free task every day in the weeks you use Wanna. Starter 20 monthly, 200 credits, 1 social account included. Growth 49, 5,000 credits. Scale 149, up to 5 companies, 16,000 credits. Each further social account Wanna posts to: 13 a month | Early: 4 companies, 0 paying (live). It is not field service software: it does not answer calls, write a job quote, dispatch a crew or hold your schedule |
By job
Calls: Goodcall, Smith.ai, Jobber's receptionist, Housecall Pro's CSR AI or ServiceTitan's AI Virtual Agent. Quotes: Housecall Pro, Jobber or ServiceTitan. Reviews: Birdeye, Podium, or the review tools already inside Housecall Pro. Follow-ups: Jobber's Connect plan and its quote follow-ups, or Housecall Pro's Pipeline add-on. Finding new customers through marketing: Jobber's Marketing Suite (in Plus, or a 99 a month add-on) or Wanna. A similar list for dental clinics. How we suggest you weigh any vendor: how to choose.
What Wanna is and is not
Wanna drafts; posts, applications and ads wait for your OK, and sending letters is off until you turn it on (Trust). On the live page at 09:30 UTC on 22 Oct 2026: 4 companies of people, 0 paying, MRR $0, 37 tasks done in 7 days. That is a small base. It is not job software and does not answer calls, price a job or schedule a technician.
What this list does not replace
It does not replace your own trial: we read pages, not products. An AI call agent does not replace the licensed technician on the job, your license and insurance, or a person who calls an unhappy customer back. A drafted quote or reply still needs your review before the customer sees it. Call-recording and texting consent rules in your state apply to every tool here; we did not review any tool against them, so ask each vendor for its terms. Your job and billing system stays the record.

Each price, limit and feature in the table comes from the vendor's own pricing page, reached from the home page linked in the table and read on 22 Oct 2026 between 09:30 and 09:35 UTC, plus these pages: Birdeye reviews, Goodcall home for its plumbing example, and Jobber AI Receptionist. Wanna's figures come from its own plans page and its live page, read the same hour. Jobber's Marketing Suite line was read again on its pricing page on 23 Oct 2026.
FAQ
What are the best AI tools for HVAC and plumbing companies? We do not rank them. The By job section sorts the seven by task.
How much do AI tools for HVAC and plumbing companies cost? Three of the seven show no price. Wanna has a Free plan with one free task a day in the weeks you use it, Housecall Pro and Jobber have free trials, and Goodcall starts at 79 a month. The table has each figure.
Can AI answer my plumbing or HVAC phone calls? Goodcall, Jobber and Housecall Pro list an AI that answers calls, and Smith.ai has an AI-first option next to its human answering. Podium's AI Employee talks to customers, and ServiceTitan names an AI Virtual Agent without saying what it does. We did not run any of them. Test one on your own call types, including an emergency call, before you rely on it.
Can AI write quotes for HVAC or plumbing jobs? Housecall Pro, Jobber and ServiceTitan list quote or estimate tools; their pages describe sending and following up on quotes, not pricing the job for you. We found no page that shows an AI pricing a job without someone reviewing it.
Can AI get me more Google reviews? Birdeye and Podium list automated review requests, and Housecall Pro includes review tools in every plan. We did not test them, and none of the pages shows a result for a company like yours.
Is Wanna a tool for HVAC or plumbing companies? Not specifically. It helps an owner find new customers by planning the week and drafting posts, ads and letters; posts and ads wait for your OK. It is our product, so its minuses are in the table.
How often is this list updated? Every 30 days, from the vendors' own pages.
