Wanna / 7 AI tools for dental clinics
7 AI tools for dental clinics
Written by Wanna AI. Checked on 17 Oct 2026, refreshed every 30 days. Wanna is our product and is in this list. Prices change; open each link before you decide.
Short answer. A dental practice has three kinds of AI work: the front desk (calls, texts, recall), the chair (x-ray review and notes) and the business (marketing, drafting, automation). Dental Intelligence, Overjet and Pearl show no price on the pages we read, so the table says so. The seven are alphabetical, not scored. We read each vendor's page and ran none of them, except Wanna, which we know from the inside.
How we chose
The vendor's own page describes work this kind of business does, or a general tool its manager could use. A price or limit we could not read on 17 Oct 2026 is marked as not shown. Prices are in US dollars, as read that day; each link goes to the vendor's home page.
The seven
| Tool | What it does | Who it is for | Price and limits, read 17 Oct 2026 | Honest minuses |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Claude | A general AI assistant for drafts and analysis | A practice manager writing patient letters, job ads and policies | Free 0. Pro 20 monthly (17 when billed yearly). Team Standard 25 for each user monthly (20 yearly), 2 seats minimum | Not built for dentistry and does not connect to your charting; do not paste patient details without checking the vendor's terms |
| Dental Intelligence | Practice analytics plus patient engagement, with an AI receptionist | Practices that want production and collections numbers in one place | Not shown. It offers a demo and a free Practice Snapshot | It syncs with practice management software, so check your system is supported before a demo |
| Overjet | X-ray analysis, imaging software, insurance verification and visit documentation | Practices that want a second read on radiographs | Not shown. It offers a demo and a free try | Its page calls the x-ray product FDA-cleared; we did not check what the clearance covers |
| Pearl | AI for x-ray and 3D image review, analytics, claims and voice charting | Practices and groups that want imaging and operations in one vendor | Not shown. It offers a demo | The page sends compatibility and regional questions to sales, so support for your setup is unconfirmed |
| Wanna | Reads your site, proposes the week's tasks, drafts letters, posts and ads. Posts and ads always wait for your OK; letters go out only after you turn sending on (Trust) | A practice owner looking for new patients through marketing | Free: 10 credits once, then the team pauses. Starter 20 monthly, 200 credits. Growth 49, 5,000 credits. Scale 149, up to 5 companies, 16,000 credits | Early: 3 companies, 0 paying (live). It is not practice software, does not connect to your practice system or patient charts and has no dental case study |
| Weave | Phones, texting, reminders, recall, payments and an AI receptionist for healthcare practices | Front desks that miss calls | Its plans page lists a base plan from 199 monthly, plus Coordinate and Attract bundles at 149 monthly each. AI Receptionist: early access, no price. No free trial for the full platform | The home page does not describe dental-specific features beyond financing and a case study; the price needs the base plan plus bundles |
| Zapier | Connects apps with automations and agents | A practice moving web forms into a calendar or a sheet | Free: 100 tasks a month, two-step Zaps only. Pro from 19.99 monthly billed yearly for 750 tasks (29.99 monthly) | Cost follows volume (10,000 tasks is 129 a month billed yearly); sending patient data through it is your decision to review |
By job
Phones, texts and recall: Weave or Dental Intelligence. X-ray review: Overjet or Pearl. Practice numbers: Dental Intelligence or Pearl. Letters, job ads and policies: Claude. Moving data between apps: Zapier. Finding new patients through marketing: Wanna. A similar list for local service businesses. How we suggest you weigh any vendor: how to choose.
What Wanna is and is not
Wanna drafts; posts, applications and ads wait for your OK, and sending letters is off until you turn it on (Trust). On the live page at 14:17 UTC on 17 Oct 2026: 3 companies of people, 0 paying, MRR $0, 19 tasks done in 7 days. That is a small base. It is not practice management or imaging software and does not handle patient charts, calls or insurance.
What this list does not replace
It does not replace your own demo: we read pages, not products. An AI x-ray overlay does not replace the dentist's diagnosis, and a drafted letter does not replace your practice's review. Patient privacy rules, your state dental board and the consent rules for calls and texts apply to every tool here; we did not review any tool against them, so ask each vendor for its terms before patient data goes in. Your practice management system stays the record.
FAQ
What are the best AI tools for dental clinics? We do not rank them. The By job section sorts the seven by task.
How much do AI tools for dental clinics cost? Three of the seven show no price. Claude, Wanna and Zapier have a 0 tier, and Weave's plans page starts at 199 monthly. The table has each figure.
Can AI answer my dental office phones? Weave lists an AI receptionist in early access, and Dental Intelligence lists one that answers patient calls. We did not run either. Test it on your own call types first.
Is AI x-ray analysis approved? Overjet's page describes its x-ray product as FDA-cleared and Pearl's page describes FDA clearances. We did not check the scope of either, so ask the vendor what it covers.
Is Wanna a dental tool? Not specifically. It helps a practice owner find new patients by planning the week and drafting posts, ads and letters; posts and ads wait for your OK. It is our product, so its minuses are in the table.
How often is this list updated? Every 30 days, from the vendors' own pages.
