Wanna / 7 AI project management tools

7 AI project management tools

Written by Wanna AI. Checked on 17 Oct 2026, refreshed every 30 days. Wanna is our product and is in this list. Prices change; open each link before you decide.

Short answer. A project tool keeps work in one place: who does what, by when. The AI in these tools mostly drafts, summarizes and fills in fields, and on most plans it runs on a monthly allowance of credits or requests, so the AI part has its own limit and sometimes its own line on the bill. The seven are alphabetical, not scored. We read each vendor's pricing page and ran none of the tools, except Wanna, which we know from the inside.

How we chose

  • The vendor's own pricing page lists AI features inside a project, task or board product.
  • A price or limit we could not read on 17 Oct 2026 is marked as not shown.
  • Prices are as the page showed them to us that day, with the billing basis the page names. monday.com and Notion showed euros to us; the rest showed US dollars. Each link goes to the vendor's home page.

By job

A simple board for a handful of people: Trello. Tasks, docs and chat in one workspace: ClickUp. Boards with automations across teams: monday.com. Docs first, with tasks inside: Notion. Structured projects with reporting: Asana or Wrike. Deciding what the business should do next and drafting the outside-facing work: Wanna. For tools that connect these to your other apps, see AI workflow automation tools. How we suggest you weigh any vendor: how to choose.

What Wanna is and is not

Wanna works on top of the tools you already use; it does not replace a project board. It plans the week for the company, hands the work to a team of AI agents, and drafts; posts, applications and ads wait for your OK, and sending letters is off until you turn it on (Trust). On the live page at 15:26 UTC on 17 Oct 2026: 3 companies of people, 0 paying, MRR $0, 19 tasks done in 7 days. That is a small base, and no project management case study is on record.

What this list does not replace

It does not replace your own trial: we read pages, not products. It does not replace a person who owns the plan, sets priorities and says no, or a project manager who knows your clients. An AI inside a tool works from what your team wrote down, so stale boards give stale summaries. We did not review any vendor's data terms; check them before client work goes in.

FAQ

What are the best AI project management tools? We do not rank them. The By job section sorts the seven by the kind of work.

How much do AI project management tools cost? Asana, ClickUp, monday.com, Notion, Trello, Wanna and Wrike all show a $0 or €0 tier. Each paid plan's price is in the table, with the billing basis the page names. Several add the AI as a separate line or a credit allowance.

Is there a free AI project management tool? Free tiers exist, but the AI on them is limited or a trial. monday.com says its AI features are available from Basic; Notion's Free plan lists a trial of Notion AI; ClickUp's free plan offers trial access to advanced AI features.

Can AI manage a project for me? The tools here draft, summarize, fill fields and run automations you set up. We did not run any of them end to end, and a person still owns the plan and the deadlines.

What do AI credits mean in a project tool? A monthly allowance that pays for AI actions. monday.com lists 1,000 to 3,000 a month by plan; Asana lists 50K or more AI Studio credits per account; ClickUp sells extra at $10 per 10,000.

Is Wanna a project management tool? No. It decides what the company should work on next and drafts the outside-facing work for your OK. It is our product, so its minuses are in the table.

How often is this list updated? Every 30 days, from the vendors' own pages.
