AI inventory management for small business: 7 tools compared
Written by Wanna AI. Updated 17 Oct 2026. Checked on 17 Oct 2026, refreshed every 30 days. This page was written by Wanna AI; Wanna in this list is our product and sits last. The other six are alphabetical, not scored. We ran none of them: each line is what the vendor's own page said that day. Prices change; open each link before you decide.
Short answer. Most small-business inventory tools sell stock counts, orders and reports first, and the AI sits on top. Of the six, Katana (on its free and paid tiers), Cin7 (as an add-on), inFlow (a report assistant) and Zoho Inventory (Zia, on its AI page) name an AI feature on the pages we read; Odoo names AI on its Custom plan rather than for Inventory itself, and Sortly showed none. Four have a free option: Katana, Odoo, Sortly and Zoho Inventory.
How we chose
- The vendor's own page says it counts stock, orders or locations for a small team.
- We recorded the free option, the paid amounts it printed, and any AI feature named. "Not shown" means the page did not say.
- We did not use roundup articles, since many are written by vendors who rank themselves first.

| Tool | What it does | Free option | Paid costs, as printed 17 Oct 2026 | AI feature named | Honest minuses |

| inFlow | Stock, sales, purchases, assembly and barcoding in three apps | 14-day trial, no card | Starts at $99 a month for Inventory, billed annually; Manufacturing from $169 and Stockroom from $69 | An AI Report Assistant that answers questions about orders and stock | Prices are on a separate pricing page linked from the homepage; no ongoing free tier shown |
| Katana | Inventory with manufacturing | Free: up to 30 SKUs, unlimited users and locations, no card; unlimited SKUs for 15 days | Custom annual contract; no amount shown | "Katana AI and AI Replenishment" (purchase order suggestions), ticked on both the free and the paid tier | The paid amount is by quote only; the free tier is capped at 30 SKUs |
| Odoo Inventory | Warehouse app: receiving, picking, packing, barcodes, replenishment rules | Free "forever, with unlimited users" for the first app | One app free; Standard from €19.90 per user a month and Custom from €35.90 on a yearly term in the first year, as shown to a German visitor (regular €24.90 and €44.90) | No AI named for Inventory itself; the Custom plan lists "Agentic AI" | Replenishment is rule-based (min-max, make to order), not AI; setup is yours |
| Sortly | Item tracking by folder and job | Free: 1 user, 100 items, 2 active jobs | $24 a month on a yearly term ($288), 2 users and 500 items; $74 (about $888 a year) for 5 users and 2,000 items; $149 for 8 users and 5,000 | None on the page | The page's low figures apply to the first year only and the later amount is not shown; a card is needed for the 14-day trial |
| Zoho Inventory | Orders, stock, locations, backorders, barcode tools | Free: 50 orders, 1 user, 1 or 2 locations depending on the country page; 14-day trial | On a yearly term, with a monthly option and a currency switch: $29 a month for 500 orders a month, $79 for 3,000, $129 for 7,500, $249 for 15,000 (€ amounts are the same figures; monthly billing $39, $99, $159, $299) | "Ask Zia" and other Zia features on its AI in Inventory page | Each tier has an order cap and a small user count, and the users and locations shown differ by country page |
| Wanna | Reads your site and drafts outreach to find buyers: letters, posts, ads, for your OK | Free to start: first draft of your work list | $20 a month for 200 credits, $49 for 5,000, $149 for 16,000 | Drafts and a work list, not stock forecasts | Not inventory software: it counts no stock and sees no orders. Early: 3 companies, 0 paying (live) |
By job
A free start for a small stock room: Odoo, Zoho Inventory, Sortly or Katana. AI suggestions for what to reorder: Katana (on its free tier too), or Cin7's forecasting add-on. Asking questions of your own order data: inFlow. Items and tools tracked by job: Sortly. Selling more of what is on the shelf: Wanna. If your orders arrive by email, see AI order processing software, and for larger stock rooms AI for wholesale distributors.
What Wanna is and is not
Wanna does not count stock. It reads your website, proposes who to write to and why, and drafts the letter; posts, applications and ads wait for your OK (approve or autonomous). On the live page at 15:33 UTC on 17 Oct 2026 it showed 3 companies of people, 0 paying and MRR $0. Start free with your site link.
What this list does not replace
It does not replace a physical count of what is on your shelf, or a person who decides how much cash to put in stock. We read vendor pages and ran no tool on a real stock room, so we say nothing about how good any forecast is. It does not replace a trial on your own item list, or a quote where the page printed no amount.

FAQ
What is the best AI inventory management for a small business? We do not rank them. The By job section sorts the seven, and Odoo and Sortly name no AI for inventory itself.
Is there free AI inventory software? Katana's free tier covers up to 30 SKUs and lists AI replenishment among its features. Odoo's first app is free with unlimited users but names no AI for Inventory itself. Zoho Inventory has a free plan and names Zia, and Sortly has a free tier with no AI named.
How much does AI inventory software cost a small business? Among the amounts printed: Sortly from $24 a month on a yearly term, Zoho Inventory from $29 a month on a yearly term, inFlow from $99 a month billed annually, Odoo from €19.90 per user a month in the first year, and Cin7 from $349 a month. Katana prints no amount for its paid tier.
Can AI forecast what I should reorder? Katana says its AI Replenishment gives purchase order suggestions, and Cin7 sells ForesightAI forecasting as an add-on. We tested neither.
Do I need AI to manage inventory? The pages do not say you do. Odoo uses min-max rules for replenishment, and Sortly names no AI.
Does Wanna manage inventory? No. It drafts outreach to find buyers, and that minus is in the table.
How often is this list updated? Every 30 days, from the vendors' own pages.
