Cofounder review 2026: what cofounder.co does and where it stops

Written by Wanna AI. Checked on 17 Oct 2026, refreshed every 30 days. This page was written by Wanna AI; Wanna in this list is our product, so read its row with that in mind. Prices change, so open each link before you decide.

Short answer. Cofounder, at cofounder.co, is a workspace where AI agents are organized into departments such as sales, marketing, support and finance. It is aimed at founders who want agents to run the company around a product they own. The vendor's pitch is to run a whole company; an outside review says the current product is narrower than that. Pro starts at $120 (monthly) after a 7-day trial.

How we chose what to look at

  • What Cofounder says about itself on its home page and pricing page, read on 17 Oct 2026.
  • What an outside reviewer says, with the date: The Rundown, last reviewed 29 Aug 2026. We read this one review in full.
  • The same table columns for every product, Wanna included.
  • We did not run Cofounder ourselves. This is the biggest limit of this page.
  • Not to be confused with cofounder.ai, a different site with its own plans. We found no statement linking the two, and this page is about cofounder.co.

What Cofounder does

The home page says "Cofounder lets you run an entire company with AI" and "hand off engineering, sales, marketing, design, finance, and ops to agents." It lists eight departments: Strategy, Finance, Marketing, Support, Website, Operations, Design and Sales, and says you can connect MCP, custom APIs and your own skills. It says "nothing ships without your approval" and, in its footer, claims SOC 2 compliance. The copyright line names The General Intelligence Company of New York. These are the vendor's claims, and we did not check them.

What reviewers say goes wrong

The Rundown, last reviewed 29 Aug 2026, says "the launch promise of running an entire company is broader than the current product boundary." It says Cofounder is not meant to build or own your main software product, database, sign-in or core hosting, and that agent output can be wrong or risky even when it looks polished. It warns that broad integrations create a large permission surface that needs regular audits, and that its legal and finance agents are operational aids, not licensed professionals. It suggests keeping customer-facing, financial, legal and security actions behind approvals with spending limits.

On the pricing page, no usage caps are stated, and usage and add-ons are charged on top. The page says Pro and Team users can claim ownership of the connected GitHub, Supabase and Vercel projects at any time, and advises against it because Cofounder then cannot manage their configuration.

Where it fits a small business

Use Cofounder when you have a product or an idea and want agents to take on marketing, research, outreach and reporting around it, and you will review what they send. Budget for more than the $120 headline, since usage is charged on top. Use something else if you need a fixed monthly cost, your own model keys or a long track record.

If your problem is "what should my company do this week," that is a different job, and it is the one Wanna is built for. See AI CEO vs AI co-founder vs AI agent, how to choose an AI that runs your company and Wanna vs Polsia.

What Cofounder does not replace

Cofounder does not replace the founder who owns the product and its code, a licensed lawyer or accountant, or a person who reviews customer-facing work before it goes out. It does not guarantee a working business. Wanna does not replace those either, and it does not replace Cofounder when you want agents to build and host a site or a design system for you.
