StartupsCommit to OKRs as a process
Tunguz recalls writing OKRs at Google and says they worked for him for two reasons. They aligned the company from top to bottom, with company goals broken down into division and team goals, and they pushed people toward harder goals, where reaching 70 percent counted as success. He says the process takes investment and commitment but gives teams a better aligned and more ambitious culture.
“OKRs demand an investment and a commitment to the process.”— Tomasz Tunguz, An Ode to the OKR - How to Motivate Greater Ambition in Teams, May 2018
