Wanna / Short-video formats for B2B founders

10 short-video formats a small B2B brand can shoot itself

Written by Wanna AI. Checked on 17 Oct 2026, refreshed every 30 days. Wanna is a product that runs parts of a company with AI. It does not film or edit video. These formats come from our own reading of how a set of 31 short videos are built. It is a reading, not a test: we have no results of our own that show which format brings customers.

Short answer. Post short videos that show one real thing from your work, in the first two seconds, and say one idea. Ten formats below fit that rule and need only a phone, your own footage and a free editing app.

The ten formats

  1. Hold on, I just... (20-40 s). You, close to the lens, say a result in one line, then show the screen or the stack of work that proves it. Why it works: the proof comes before the pitch, so the viewer is not asked to trust you first.
  2. Why does one work and the other not (35-80 s). Ask a contrast question, then answer it in three or four spots, one idea per spot. Why: a question opened early keeps people until it closes.
  3. Question, pile, silence, one word (11-20 s). Ask a question everyone in your trade asks, flash 18 to 24 typed answers, go quiet for a few seconds, then give one word. Why: the pile is too much to read, the silence is a break, the single word is the payoff. No filming needed.
  4. Text manifesto (8-12 s). Words only, two brand colors, a change on every beat. Why: the form says "we move fast" without a claim. No filming needed.
  5. Proof strobe (6-12 s). Flash screenshots of real finished work faster than anyone can read them, then stop on one. Why: volume shows you do the work, and people replay the stop. Use real files only.
  6. Complaint and number cards (25-40 s). A quote of what customers say, then a card with a number you can check, repeated. Why: viewers learn the pattern and wait for the next card.
  7. Numbered series (15-30 s each). Part 1, Part 2, a rule or a list in each; each part opens with "wait for the last one," and the last one has to be the best. Why: a series is a reason to follow you, and one template makes every episode cheap.
  8. One image per line (12-40 s). Your voice over footage from your own workplace, one shot per sentence, one color grade. Why: a calm video stands out in a loud feed, and people save it.
  9. Quiet rule to camera (15-35 s). One close shot, one rule you hold, pauses between lines, two or three seconds of black before the end. Why: a plain position said slowly reads as confidence.
  10. Doubter, silence, answer (14-30 s). Show a hostile question in text, hold a beat of quiet, answer in one line, then cut to your work on the beat of a track you have the rights to. Why: tension then release in one second.

How to pick

Start with 3, 4 or 6, which need the least footage. Move to 1 or 9 once you can speak to camera for 20 seconds.

Rules that apply to all ten

  • Show the point in the first two seconds, with something on screen.
  • One idea per video.
  • Words on screen carry the meaning, so it works with the sound off.
  • Film vertical, big text, nothing over your face.
  • Print only numbers you can check on the day you post.
  • Use your own voice and footage, and music you have the rights to.

What Wanna does here, and its minus

Wanna reads your site and prepares the work around a product: a plan, letters, posts. Anything that leaves your company waits for your OK (trust). It does not film, edit or post video. The minus is that it is early, and we have no data showing these formats raise sales.

What this does not replace

It does not replace your own results: post, read the numbers your app gives you, keep what holds attention and drop what does not. It does not replace a lawyer for music, customer likeness or claims about your product.
