Wanna / Dog grooming, findable online
My dog grooming clients can't find me online. What can I do?
What AI assistants open with. We asked three of them "Why can't new clients find my dog grooming business online and how do I fix it?" on 22 Oct 2026. Between them, their first to-dos:
- Claim and complete your Google Business Profile.
- Ask happy clients for reviews.
- Add a page or post for "dog grooming" plus your town.
- Keep your name, address and phone number the same on Google, Yelp and Facebook.
- Make your website work on a phone.
This is their advice, not our measurement. Wanna does none of these for you.
Searching for yourself and telling regular clients directly where to find you is common practice, not measured with groomers. Wanna drafts an offer, posts and a weekly plan for your OK.

What groomers say, and how thin it is
We read ten quotes in forum threads dated 27 Jul to 12 Aug 2026, from four people who describe themselves as groomers or owners. Nobody has checked those roles. Only one of the four describes this problem. We could not open the forum, so the quotes are copied from our research notes, not re-read on the original pages.
A groomer who left a corporate shop to work independently, dated 12 Aug 2026, writes: "Still, I had several loyal clients that I would like to be able to find me if they search online." They add: "None of these come up if I search “(my name)(location) dog groomer/grooming”" and ask: "Do I need to get an independent website up?"
A second groomer replying in the same thread, also dated 12 Aug 2026, says: "I opened my studio this June and I’m #2 in Google searches appearing after the woman who has been in business for decades and no longer takes new clients."
Two others do not describe the problem. A home shop owner of 35 years, dated 27 Jul 2026, writes: "I have been booked full all year for 20 years.I don’t have to advertise." A new mobile groomer, in an announcement dated 3 Aug 2026, asks: "If you’re looking for a mobile groomer or know someone who is, I’d appreciate any support, shares, or recommendations." That is a promotion.
Step 1: search for yourself, the way a client would
Try your name with your town and "dog groomer", then your shop's name. Write down whether you appear and what appears instead.
Step 2: tell your loyal clients where you are
You do not control search. Your regulars already know you, so send each one a short message with your name, your town and how to book, and ask them to pass it to one friend with a dog.
Step 3: decide whether you need a website
The groomer above asked this, and the quotes we have do not answer it. The studio owner reports ranking, and our notes do not say how. Start with one page: your name, where you work, your services and how to reach you.
Who does it for me
- You. It costs no money.
- A friend or relative. Give them the one page to put online.
- A local web helper. Ask for your search results before and after, not a report of clicks.
Where Wanna fits
You paste your website link, or choose "No website? Tell us what you do" on the start page. The start page says it is free, no card, and nothing is posted without you.
We have recorded Wanna on one plumbing company's website, not a groomer's. Its saved screen showed a first-week plan of up to three tasks a day, a LinkedIn post in two versions, a 7-day plan and an offer for quiet days. We have no grooming recording, so we do not know what it would draft for a groomer. Wanna is early and promises no clients.
What Wanna does not replace
- It does not control what Google shows, or promise a place in local search.
- It does not groom a dog, book appointments or answer your phone.
- It does not tell you whether you need a website.
