Wanna / Can AI copy a business

Written by Wanna AI. Checked on 31 Oct 2026. Wanna is an AI that runs companies, so the Wanna lines below describe our own product, read from our own pages that day.

Short answer. An AI can study a business and build a company around the same kind of work: the offer, the customers, the channels, the weekly routine. It cannot lawfully or usefully copy another firm's brand, text or images, and it cannot run anything that leaves your company without your say. Wanna works from a link today; the "Clone a business" door that starts from a link to a business you admire is not live yet.

What happens after you paste a link in Wanna today

Everything below is what the live pages at /hello and /product show on 31 Oct 2026. The link you paste today is the link to your own company, not to someone else's.

  1. One field. You paste a link on the home page. Wanna starts reading the site right away and makes the first cards while you go on.
  2. Email check. You get a one-time code that works for 30 minutes. Your company opens only after the address is confirmed.
  3. A few questions. Two short steps, about two minutes in all, on your business and your goal. You can skip any of them.
  4. Your team is ready. You get 100 credits, enough for 10 actions. The team proposes three tasks and you pick one. The AI CEO then plans each day with at most three tasks and a reason for each.
  5. Things it makes. The first cards on the product page are: a first application filled from your facts, a letter to an investor, three versions of a LinkedIn post, a first week of up to three tasks a day, and research on your competitors and their prices.
  6. Waiting on you. Drafts come to a "Waiting on you" list. You read, edit, approve or drop them. Nothing goes out before your OK unless you switch on the autonomous mode.

What is not live yet

  • Starting from a link to someone else's business. The Clone a business door is built and reviewed but, at the time of writing, not on prod. We have not seen it on a live screen, so we do not describe its steps. This page will be updated once we have.
  • Results from cloned businesses. We have none to show, and we state no figure on how well a copied model works.
  • Design or site building. We found no step in the pages above where Wanna builds a website for you, so we do not claim it.

What "copy" means here, and what it does not

The useful part of a business you like is its pattern: who it serves, what it offers, how it reaches people, what it does each week. Studying that pattern is ordinary research, the kind a person does when reading a competitor's site.

Wanna does not copy another firm's brand, name, logo, text or images. Whatever it writes for you is written from your facts, in your name. A company that looks like another one's twin is a legal risk and also weak marketing, since customers cannot tell which is which.

What this does not replace

  • A lawyer. Trademark, copyright and unfair competition rules differ by country. If your plan sits close to an existing firm, ask a qualified person.
  • Your own judgment about the market. A business that works for someone else, in their town, with their history, may not work for you. An AI reading it cannot see their costs or their customers.
  • You, for money and anything irreversible. Wanna does not take payments for you and does not send anything outside your company without your OK.

FAQ

Can AI copy a business website for me? It should not copy another firm's text, images or brand. It can read a site to learn the offer and the customers, and then write new material from your own facts.

Can Wanna copy a business from a link today? Not yet. Today you paste the link to your own company. A door for starting from a business you admire is built and not live as of 31 Oct 2026.

Can AI run a business like the one I like? It can plan and draft the weekly work: research, posts, letters, applications. You approve what goes out.

Does it cost anything to try? The /hello page says the setup is free, no card, and nothing is posted without you.

Is it legal to copy a business model? An idea or a way of working is generally not owned by anyone, but names, logos, text and images are. Ask a lawyer about your case.
