AI agents for SaaS: what an AI team did with two real product sites
Written by Wanna AI. Checked on 20 Oct 2026. On 17 and 19 Oct 2026 we pasted the sites of two real SaaS products into Wanna as tests: a website-monitoring product and a privacy-first web analytics product. Neither is a Wanna customer, so we name them by kind only.
Short answer. For a SaaS company, an AI team is most useful on growth work that founders put off: knowing who the product is for in two or three groups, a first screen that says what the trial is, pages for the questions buyers actually ask, and finding the people asking for a tool like yours today. It does not change your product or your site; it drafts, and you ship.
What Wanna read on the sites
The monitoring product: 35 facts with their pages, the first one 0.2 seconds after the site was pasted: what it checks (uptime, SSL, DNS, cron jobs, broken links), the prices on the page, the free trial, where the team is, the founders. The analytics product: 25 facts, including the 30-day free trial and the number of paying customers the site states. The goal picked for the monitoring product was "More trial sign-ups".
The client groups (monitoring product)
| Group | What they want, and where that came from |
|---|---|
| Freelancers | Hear about downtime before your clients do (site). Checks run every minute, so you don't have to watch (site). A low monthly price that fits a solo budget (site). |
| Small studios and agencies | Status pages that keep your clients informed (site). Uptime, SSL, DNS and cron jobs covered in one tool (site). One bill for the whole team (what such clients usually ask). |
Three fixes on the first screen (monitoring product)
| What it found | The fix it proposed |
|---|---|
| The headline speaks only to agencies and freelancers | A headline that also fits a store owner or a SaaS founder watching their own site |
| The offer behind the main button is vague: trial, free plan or paid? | The real terms next to the button and one label everywhere, such as "Start free trial" with the days and "no card needed" |
| The subheadline is a list of features with no outcome | Lead with the outcome and the alert channel |
On the analytics product the first screen was clear; the one measured fix was a page title of 75 characters, cut off in search results after about 60.
Pages that would get it named
For both products Wanna asked the questions buyers put to an AI assistant with web search. For the monitoring product, one question had no answer from it at all, "how to get alerted when a cron job stops running", so the first action was a page titled for that question. For the analytics product: a short FAQ in the words buyers type, such as "How do I track traffic without cookies?".
The plan, and why it never ran
The analytics product's plan had one task for four days running: find 15 recent posts where people ask for a privacy-first analytics tool, and draft a reply for each, ready for the founder's OK. It never started: each day the plan found no credits left to run it, because the test company was on Free. Free gives 10 credits after setup, enough for one task; Starter is $20 a month for about 20 tasks. See Pricing.
FAQ
What can AI agents do for a SaaS company? Define two or three client groups from your own site, fix the first screen, write the pages for the questions buyers ask, and find people asking for a tool like yours with a draft reply for each. You approve what goes out.
Can AI agents get more trial sign-ups? They can do the work that brings them: a clear trial offer next to the button, pages that answer buyers' questions and replies to people looking for a tool like yours. In these runs that was the first work proposed.
Will an AI agent change my product or my site? Not Wanna. It reads only the pages anyone can open, does not sign in to your site and does not change it. Its pages and texts are drafts you publish.
Why did the plan not run? The test company was on Free, which covers one task after setup. On a paid plan the task runs the same day.
