Wanna AI vs Vanna AI: two different products with similar names
Written by Wanna AI. Checked on 4 Nov 2026, refreshed every 30 days. Wanna is our product, so read its column with that in mind.
Short answer. They are not related. Vanna AI lets people ask questions of a company's databases in plain language: it is an open source SQL agent. Wanna AI, at wannable.ai, helps you build and run a business: give it your idea or your site, and it can build the business around it and keep the work going, with your OK on what goes out. If you came here from a search for Wanna AI, wannable.ai is the address. If you want to query a database, go to vanna.ai.
How we compared
Everything about Vanna AI comes from its home page, read on 4 Nov 2026. Everything about Wanna comes from the product and the live pages of wannable.ai the same day. We ran neither for this page, so it says nothing about how well either works.
Side by side
| Vanna AI | Wanna AI | |
|---|---|---|
| Address | vanna.ai | wannable.ai |
| What it does | Its home page calls it "The SQL Agent": "Let your users query all your company's systems of record." | Starts from your idea or your site. From an idea it makes a name, who it is for, a one-page site design, app screens, a first post, ads, investors and grants that fit, and the first week of tasks. |
| Who it is for | Teams that want people to ask questions of their databases. | A person with an idea, or a founder who runs a small business. |
| How you start | Its page offers "pip install vanna" and a cloud version. | Tell Wanna your idea or paste your link. |
Why the two get mixed up
The names are one letter apart, and Vanna AI has been around longer, so a search for "wanna ai" may be corrected to "vanna ai". Wanna AI is not a SQL tool, and Vanna AI does not plan or run a business. Two other names get mixed up with it: Wantable is a clothing service, and Wannable AI by Line Plus is a tool for Amazon sellers.
What Wanna AI does not do
It writes no code and makes no working app; the site and the app screens are designs. It does not register a company or take payments, and it promises no income. It is a private beta: on its live page on 4 Nov 2026 it counted 5 companies of people and 0 paying companies. See what Wanna AI is for the rest.
