8 AI tools for nail salons

Written by Wanna AI. Checked on 26 Oct 2026, refreshed every 30 days. Wanna is our product and is in this list. Prices change; open each link before you decide.

Short answer. A nail salon has four jobs that software can touch: bookings (including the call you miss while your hands are in a client's), photos of your work on Instagram and Facebook, replies to reviews, and an offer for the slow weekdays. Five of the eight tools below are booking systems with marketing inside; the other three do posting, review requests and replies, or planning. Only some of them list anything AI, and the table says which. The eight are alphabetical, not scored. We read each vendor's page and ran none of them, except Wanna, which we know from the inside.

How we chose

  • The vendor's own page describes a job a nail salon does: booking, reminders, messaging clients, posting, or answering reviews. Vagaro and Square have a nail salon page of their own, and Booksy's menu lists nail salon software.
  • A price or limit we could not read on 26 Oct 2026 is marked as not shown. Prices are US dollars unless marked. Two vendors, Vagaro and Fresha, showed us pounds and euros, and the table says so.
  • Each link goes to the vendor's home page.

By job

Bookings: Booksy, Fresha, GlossGenius, Square Appointments or Vagaro; pick on price per tech and on which of them you already use for cards. Calls you miss: Booksy's AI Receptionist (beta, no price shown after the free offer) or GlossGenius's Reception add-on at 50 a month; Fresha's AI Concierge covers messages, with calls listed as coming soon. Photos of your work: Buffer, or drafts from Wanna. Review replies: NiceJob on Pro. An offer for a quiet weekday: the text tools inside Square, Booksy, Fresha and GlossGenius, with Wanna to draft the offer. What to post and offer this week: Wanna. Wider lists: local service businesses and social media schedulers. How we suggest you weigh any vendor: how to choose.

What Wanna is and is not

In Wanna's onboarding you paste your site link and the team drafts a post and an offer for your quiet days from what it reads there, for your OK. Posts and ads always wait for your OK; letters go out only after you turn sending on (Trust). On the live page at 17:52 UTC on 26 Oct 2026: 4 companies of people, 0 paying, MRR $0, 16 tasks done in the last 7 days. That is a small base. We have no figures showing that its offers fill a slow day, and it cannot see your appointment book to tell you which day is slow.

What this list does not replace

It does not replace your own trial: we read pages, not products, and a booking system is the one tool here you will live in all day, so test it with your real service list and tech schedules before you move clients. It does not replace a person who answers a client with a question about a nail problem or an allergy, reading a reply to a review before it posts, or the consent and opt-out rules for texting clients that apply to every texting tool here. We did not review any vendor's terms, its card processing rates or those rules. Your appointment book stays the record of who came and when.

FAQ

What are the best AI tools for nail salons? We do not rank them. The By job section sorts the eight by task, and only some of them list any AI at all.

What software can a nail salon use for online booking? Booksy, Fresha, GlossGenius, Square Appointments and Vagaro are booking systems with reminders and client messages. Entry prices run from a free Square plan up to 29.99 a month for Booksy; GlossGenius Standard is 28 and one Vagaro calendar 20, in the currencies the table shows.

Can AI answer my nail salon's phone? Booksy says its AI Receptionist, in beta, picks up when you can't and books the appointment, and GlossGenius sells Reception at 50 a month. Fresha's AI Concierge add-on answers messages, and its page lists calls as coming soon. We ran neither, so call your own line and test a booking and a question first.

How can a nail salon fill empty slots with AI? Pick one slow day and one offer with an end date, then send it to clients who agreed to hear from you. The texting tools in the table send it; Vagaro describes Vera as helping fill empty slots; Wanna drafts the offer. We have no figures on how many bookings an offer brings.

Can AI reply to my nail salon's Google reviews? NiceJob lists AI Replies on its 125-a-month Pro plan. We did not run it. Read each reply before it posts.

Can AI write Instagram posts for nail art photos? Buffer's AI Assistant helps write and refine captions and schedules them to Instagram, and its free plan covers 3 channels. Wanna drafts posts from your website for your OK. Neither knows your photos until you add them.

How much does nail salon software cost? Square Appointments starts at 0, Vagaro at 20 for one calendar (in pounds on the page we saw), Fresha at 12.95 (euros), GlossGenius at 28, Booksy at 29.99. NiceJob review tools are 75 or 125 a month. The table has each figure and the date it was read.

Is Wanna a nail salon tool? Not specifically. It helps an owner decide what to post and offer by drafting posts, offers, letters and ads; posts and ads wait for your OK. It does not book appointments. It is our product, so its minuses are in the table.

How often is this list updated? Every 30 days, from the vendors' own pages.
